At TwoScoops, our whole positioning is "here to fight vanilla" and for us, it's not just as a slogan.

Vanilla work is ultra safe, it's totally forgettable and it's expensive to keep pushing.

Forgettable brands have to pay for attention every single time. Wheras, a piece of distinctive work gets remembered, recalled and repeated... and remembered brands get chosen instinctively - via taking up some of mental availability.

I've built that instinct across very different industries and sectors. Agricultural powerhouses, city brands, outdoor retail giants, and a personal projects and challenges, purely because I think the story matters.

Execution is where strategy either earns its keep or quietly dies - and a brilliant idea badly built is worse than a modest idea built with care.

I'd rather ship something a little braver and slightly imperfect, than something safe and polished into nothing. Here's to fighting vanilla and pushing for something slightly more fun than doomscrolling.
