So, what a surprise it was last week to walk across the expansive Hagley Park and stumble upon a huge 1200 square metre area reserved just for wildflowers. 🌺
The bees were humming and busy exploring their new playground. 🐝
There is a wide diversity of wildflowers in the corner of the park and the area is being used as a trial to increase the bee populations. If successful, then the local council will spread the flowering goodness across the city.
Onwards for the planet, one step (or buzz) at a time! 🌏
